A furious fourth quarter rally came up just short as the Pinnacle High Panthers dropped a home game to Altamont 47-38 on Thursday, Jan. 2.

The Panthers faced a double digit deficit in parts of the second half but with just minutes to go, Pinnacle cut Altamont's lead to 40-36. Altamont made their free throws and Pinnacle was unable to convert opportunities in the final moments.

The Panthers also fell undefeated Tabiona on the road 63-41 on Saturday evening. Pinnacle led 16-13 after one period of play but Tabiona outscored the Panthers 36-11 over the next two quarters to run away with the win.
