Tough season ends for CHS boys

A tough, hard fought season has come to a close for the Carbon High boys basketball team after a 67-38 loss to Payson on Friday evening.

With the loss, the Dinos ended the season with a 1-20 record, including an 0-8 mark in Region 12 play.

Zac Hathaway, Caden Sherman and Peyton Fausett each finished with seven points for the Dinos.

Carbon struggled to replace the outgoing group of seniors from last season's team that advanced to the 3A playoffs.

While the Dinos stuggled this season, head coach Jeff Cisneros said he is hopeful that the younger players will benefit from the experience playing at the varsity level.
