Carbon County Emergency Medical Technicians and Sheriffs Deputies respond to a single vehicle accident on Old Wellington Road near U.S. Highway 6 on April 8.

According to officers on scene, Steven Meyer lost control of his 1980s Yamaha Maxim motorcycle while traveling westbound at approximately 5:15 p.m. He then dumped the street bike into some roadside weeds before involving any other vehicles or property during the incident.

According to Carbon County Sheriff's Office Chief Deputy Tom Stefanoff, Meyer was not cited and had managed to land in some weeds and mud.

Witnesses reported that the operator suffered only minor injuries. However, Meyer's wife contacted the Sun Advocate on April 10 and reported that he is still at Castleview hospital receiving treatment.
