A DUI investigation is under way after a juvenile motorist collided with the north side of Bicycle Werks on June 25 at around 10:30 a.m.

The incident began when a westbound 2006 Chevrolet pickup swerved across the eastbound lane near 100 West, jumped the south side curb, and collided with Bicycle Werks. The 17-year-old male driver from Price, told police that he had swerved to avoid an animal as he was traveling east on 100 North.

The driver was checked on scene by Carbon County EMTs, with a parent present. A DUI referral to Seventh District Juvenile Court will be forthcoming, said Price Police Capt. Bill Barnes. The driver was released to a parent at the scene.
