Cause of Consumers Road mishap still undetermined

Carbon County Sheriff's officials are investigating the cause of a single vehicle rollover in Consumers Canyon Tuesday night that injured six juveniles.

According to officers on scene, several of the young people were ejected from the SUV.

Carbon County Sheriff's Office Chief Deputy Tom Stefanoff said that investigators responded to a call from public safety dispatch at around 9:45 p.m. Tuesday reporting a rolled over.

A Chevrolet Blazer was located at mile post 3.7 on Consumer's Road, where three ambulances were eventually called out for transport. At least three of the six juveniles involved in the incident were transported to Castleview Hospital for treatment, continued the chief deputy.

"Right now much of the information we have is preliminary," said Stefanoff during a telephone interview on Wednesday. "So we aren't ruling anything out concerning the cause of the crash."

The Blazer was the only vehicle involved in the rollover and Stefanoff confirmed that no other property was damaged during the wreck.
