The College of Eastern Utah Chamber Choir will present the Schubert Mass in G on Saturday, Oct. 24 in the Price Civic Auditorium. They will be accompanied by the Price Civic Orchestra, conducted by Professor Russell Wilson.

Featured guest soloist for the concert is soprano Tara Compagni, an alumnus of CEU and SUU, where she studied vocal performance. Compagni sings with the High Desert Opera Company, where she recently sang the starring role of Nedda in a production of Leoncavallo's Pagliacci. She has also been featured as guest soloist with the Grand Junction Symphony and Messiah Society, and sings with the Western Colorado Chorale. She will sing the soprano solo in the trio Schubert employs in his most popular Mass, along with two other CEU music department graduates, tenor Benjamin Jones and baritone Michael McCandless. Local boy soprano Dallin Grant, age 10, will also be be a soloist with the orchestra in Bach's beloved Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring.

The performance is free and open to public twelve years and older, and begins promptly at 8 p.m.
