Nathan Gerkin is a nine year old Price boy who was diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma (bone cancer of the left arm) and has been cycling through chemotherapy for the past six months before he can undergo surgery for tumor removal and bone replacement.

A team designated as "Nate's Crew" honoring Nathan and consisting of Scott Justesen and Todd Justesen both Utah natives and Lance Hayes, Cheryl Hennig, and Jeff Sherman all Texas residents completed the 10k mud run at Dallas/ Fort Worth, Texas on Nov. 7 to benefit the Nathan Gerkin Benefit Fund.

All interested in making a donation to Nathan's benefit fund can make contributions at any Wells Fargo Bank under the account, "Nathan Gerkin Benefit Fund." Nathan has been through six months of chemo.

He is the son of Heather Nay and the grandson of Terry and Sandi Nay. Todd Justesen was the team captain for the race.
