Sports reporter

The Carbon High dive team traveled to South Summit on Saturday for a qualifying invitational meet. With only three divers participating for the Dinos, they did not place as a team.

In the eleven dive division, Carbon's Nick Torres did not have one of his best outings. He struggled on a few dives and finished fifth out of 10 teams.

In the six dive division for the boys, Dino Christian Johnston ended up in third place. For the girl's Carbon's Trevyn Hepworth took second out of 10 other divers.

Coach Stew Foster was pleased with the improvement Johnston and Hepworth are making. They both improved their scores from previous meets.

The team will head to the Park City Invitationals on Dec. 12.
