KENILWORTH - Yvonne Lillian Payette Morrison, age 91, passed away Jan. 7, 2013 at her home in Kenilworth.
She was born Oct. 26, 1921 in Laurel, Mass., to Eugene Pierre and Rose Alma Gosselin Payette.
Married Clyde Leroy Morrison, March 2, 1942 in Chicopee, Mass. He died July 4, 1990.
Yvonne loved to dedicate her time and attention to her family and church. She was a P.T.A. President at Sally Mauro Elementary back in the 1960's. Yvonne was a Past Altar Society President at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Helper. She also served as secretary of the Merry Mix Ups and helped with many other church activities.
Yvonne was loved by all and her generosity will never be forgotten.
She is survived by three daughters and two sons, Holly Chovit, N.C., Elizabeth (Andrew) Kessans, Kentucky, John (Peggy) Morrison, Michael (Diane) Morrison, both of New York; Joan (Jimmy) Young, Kenilworth; 17 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Yvonne was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Sheila; son, Lee; brother, Ovid; and sister, Juanita.
Funeral Mass, Friday, Jan. 11, 2013, 10 a.m., St. Anthony Catholic Church. Family will be at Mitchell Funeral Home Thursday evening from 6 - 7 p.m. and Friday morning from 9 - 9:30 a.m. Committal service, Mt. View Cemetery, Helper.
